EHS Specialist

Our Client, an upstream Oil and Gas Company responsibly developing energy resources in the UK North Sea as well as around the world are currently seeking an EHS SPECIALIST for a contract position in the UK. The role and its responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:- Focus Project will be West African, so in-country knowledge would be advantageous A proven track record as an ESH Advisor will strong knowledge of regulatory regimes other than UK with comprehesnive knowledge of Enviromental issues The Client would prefer to appoint a successful candidate with the experience of having worked in this discipline for an Oil and Gas Operator with North Sea experience and with a robust proven track record. Candidates must have experience in providing support on a range of Environmental, Health and Safey issues to both internal and external stakeholders The successful candidate will report to the H&S Project lead and will work very closely with all other departments in Aberdeen, London and global locations The role will include focus on the technical and functional responsibilities including developing a risk based and costed annual HSE Plan for relevent activities. Develop positive relationshipswith the In Country Regulators to support activites in country and enablethe submission of high quality application on time Participate in and ensure exprt advice is provided in relation to HSE&A risk reduction processess. Carry out or assist with offshore/onshore HSE & A audits/inspections, compile reports Engage with contractors and participate in Contract ITTs and post award performance reviewes as may be required. The role will include undertaking Corporate policies and demonstrating behaviours in line with Company values at all times. Industry required competency certification must be current/valid at the time of application including NEBOSH, IEMA, BOSIET including CA-EBS and MEDICAL.
