Our Client, an upstream Oil and Gas Company responsibly developing energy resources in the UK North Sea as well as around the world are currently seeking a Environment Adviser for a contract position in the UK. The role and its responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:- A proven track record as an Environmental Advisor working in the Oil and Gas arena is required by applicants. The Client would prefer to appoint a successful candidate with the experience of having worked in this discipline for an Oil and Gas Operator with North Sea experience and with a robust proven track record. Candidates must have experience in providing support on a range of environmental issues to both internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will report to the Environmental Manager and will work very closely with all other departments including Production, Subsea, Drilling and Completions. The role will include focus on the technical and functional responsibilities including the assessments of Major Environmental Incidents and updating of Safety Cases as and when required by the Client. The role will include undertaking Corporate policies and demonstrating behaviours in line with Company values at all times. Working knowledge of EEMS and the BEIS Oil and Gas portal is required to be in a position to apply for this role. Applications are invited from candidates with environmental auditing and inspection experience. Industry required competency certification must be current/valid at the time of application including BOSIET including CA-EBS and MEDICAL. All candidates must have a relevant Environmental qualification, IEMA or equivalent would be preferred by the Client.
