GEOLOGICAL MODELER

We are looking to recruit a highly-experienced GEOLOGICAL MODELER with extensive experience subsurface mapping on a permanent STAFF basis in the Middle East. A key oil and gas exploration company based in the middle east, the client is a fully integrated, global petroleum and chemicals enterprise. Over the past 80 years the client has become a world leader in hydrocarbons exploration, production, refining, distribution and marketing. Their oil and gas production infrastructure leads the industry in scale of production, operational reliability, and technical advances. Their plants and the people who run them make us the world’s largest crude oil exporter, producing roughly one in every eight barrels of the world’s oil supply. To deal with this their continued vision to become the world’s leading integrated energy companies they have numerous career opportunities across subsurface departments. Due to the rigorous selection process your comprehensive knowledge would include experience working for a supermajor and/or large global exploration and production company. To be shortlisted you must hold a Bachelor’s degree in geology including a minimum of 6 years’ experience with 3D reservoir geological modelling, coupled with a minimum of 10 years’ experience ideally within a major oil operator. Previous experience in reservoir geology, drilling operations, field development, sedimentology/stratigraphy, or structural geology is advantageous. You be required to construct 3D reservoir geocellular models; create subsurface maps: use modeling packages (Petrel, GOCAD, and Roxar); and integrate geologic, geophysical, petrophysical and dynamic data into a geocellular model. You will work across multidiscipline teams, and be required to assess reservoir stimulation, and the upscaling techniques of geological models. You will be required to make critical decisions and solve any problems with regards to geological modelling and communicate these solutions clearly across multi-disciplinary teams. Due to the timelines and comprehensive interview process, interviews are being held in the USA in APRIL 2017.
