P&A Well Engineer

Our Client, who are and Oil and Gas exploration and production company operating in the North Sea are currently seeking a P&A Well Engineer for a long term contract position in the UKCS. The role and its responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:- A proven track record within the Oil and Gas arena preferably with a Drilling Engineering background would be a preference from the Client but applications are invited from experienced individuals having worked within the Subsurface & Wells, Drilling and Completions organisation within an Operator. The successful candidate must have worked extensively and directly for Oil and Gas Operating Companies within the North Sea sector. The role will include the successful candidate to provide detailed engineering and costing for specific Well Abandonment programmes. Knowledge and experience of Decommissioning, Plug and Abandonment operations would be advantageous when applying for this role. The successful candidate would be expected to have extensive experience of all Execution and Close Out phases of the operations. The role will include the preparation of well abandonment documentation as well as the production and preparation of well cost durations and estimates for all operations. To apply for this position candidates must have knowledge and experience of abandonment/ well engineering and workovers.. This is predominantly an onshore role but the successful candidate must be prepared to travel offshore at the Client's request. All valid industry certification must be provided on request and include medical and IWCF, as above, relevant Insurances, MIST, BOSIET as a minimum.
