STRUCTURAL GEOLOGIST

We are looking to recruit a highly experienced STRUCTURAL GEOLOGIST with extensive experience in 2D and 3D structural restoration in a variety of tectonic terrains on a permanent STAFF basis in the Middle East. A key oil and gas exploration company based in the middle east, the client is a fully integrated, global petroleum and chemicals enterprise. Over the past 80 years the client has become a world leader in hydrocarbons exploration, production, refining, distribution and marketing. Their oil and gas production infrastructure leads the industry in scale of production, operational reliability, and technical advances. Their plants and the people who run them make us the world’s largest crude oil exporter, producing roughly one in every eight barrels of the world’s oil supply. To deal with this their continued vision to become the world’s leading integrated energy companies they have numerous career opportunities across subsurface departments. Due to the rigorous selection process your comprehensive knowledge would include experience working for a supermajor and/or large global exploration and production company. To be shortlisted you must hold a Bachelor’s degree in geology or related science. A.M.S or Ph.D. in geology or structural geology preferred couple with a minimum of 10 years’ experience ideally within a major oil operator. Suitable candidates will have experience in 2D and 3D structural restoration in a variety of tectonic terrians and 2D/3D structural restoration from prospect to regional scales. You will act as a consultant to the management team as well as a technical expert to assigned professionals as required to satisfactorily perform work assignments. You will be responsible for developing ideas, creating plans and organising projects or specialised studies in exploration, technical services or in reservoir characterisation to realise corporate objectives. Due to the timelines and comprehensive interview process, interviews are being held in the USA in APRIL 2017.
