We are looking to recruit a highly-experienced WELL PLANNING AND DELIVERY SPECIALIST with extensive experience of preparing well prognoses on a permanent STAFF basis in the Middle East. A key oil and gas exploration company based in the middle east, the client is a fully integrated, global petroleum and chemicals enterprise. Over the past 80 years the client has become a world leader in hydrocarbons exploration, production, refining, distribution and marketing. Their oil and gas production infrastructure leads the industry in scale of production, operational reliability, and technical advances. Their plants and the people who run them make us the world’s largest crude oil exporter, producing roughly one in every eight barrels of the world’s oil supply. To deal with this their continued vision to become the world’s leading integrated energy companies they have numerous career opportunities across subsurface departments. Due to the rigorous selection process your comprehensive knowledge would include experience working for a supermajor and/or large global exploration and production company. To be shortlisted you must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Geology preferably a Masters in Petroleum Geoscience, or similar with a minimum of 10 years experience in Exploration or development that include well planning and operations. You will be responsible for creating well correlations with confidence and accuracy, have the experience to prepare basic pore pressure forecasts, and be familiar with geomechanical parameters relevant to well planning. As the successful applicant you will manage an active drilling program, oversee risk management, and create mitigation plans for drilling activities. You will oversee all well data acquisition programs, including wireline and LWD logging, pressure and fluid sampling, VSP, coring, and SCAL. Knowledge of Geolog, Petrel, Techlog, and Petrosys would be desirable Due to the timelines and comprehensive interview process, interviews are being held in the USA in APRIL 2017.
