The site is 220 kilometres west of Brønnøysund and 10 kilometres north-east of Heidrun.

The plans allow for an 800 metre pilot well to be drilled,to test for shallow gas in the area.

The drilling is estimated to last 18 days and will begin in mid-June.

Deepsea Bergen, which is a semi-submersible drilling facility of the Aker H-3.2 type, will be used to drill the well.
