Our client major operator is looking for Head of Safety Methods for contract based in Aberdeen
SERVICE DATES: Feb 2012-Dec 2012 (with potential for annual renewals)
LOCATION: Client's Office in Aberdeen with occasional offshore visits
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
•Monitor the Client's referential technical resources, decide on relevance then distribute/dispatch to the various entities/project teams or individuals as required.
•Monitor well operations to ensure compliance with the Client's procedures. Liaise with the various teams, review wellview daily drilling reports as required.
•Keep up to date with technological innovations from Group & Industry, so as to promote better efficiency in operations. Question established/existing practices, propose alternatives so as to assist in achieving improvements in well operations.
•Preparing/facilitating both the Drilling and often Production Operations derogation requests to various Company rules & General Specifications including collecting/checking accurate technical data is supplied from the various sources
•Organise and participate in the Risk Assessments, Hazop and Hazid development reviews/meetings
•Preparing and updating the major Rig contract Bridging (interface) documents.
•Participation in the drilling related incident investigation process and/or root cause analysis as/when required with specific emphasise on the methods aspects of incidents/accidents. So as to ensure all lessons learned are captured.
•Issue and monitor Wells Consent/Notification forms and checklists. Ensuring the various WCM project teams update same as required
•Identification of best industry practice, which can be incorporated into Company Methods and Procedures
