Founded in 1940, IADC is dedicated to enhancing the interests of the oil and gas and the geothermal drilling and completion industry, worldwide. IADC’s mission is to improve industry health, safety and environmental practices, advance drilling and completion technology. It also stands to champion responsible standards, practices, legislation and regulations that provide for safe, efficient and environmentally sound drilling operations worldwide.

FPAL was established in 1996 and is governed by an industry-based steering committee. Servicing the UK, Dutch and Irish oil and gas sector, FPAL aims to find the perfect supplier for every buyer. FPAL works to identify, qualify, evaluate and monitor suppliers on behalf of its purchasing members.
The Africa Business Centre (ABC) provides the intelligence, guidance and advice essential to companies wishing to enter the difficult energy markets of Africa and is widely regarded as the UK's leading support mechanism.
ABC gathers and disseminates African market and country information of all types, works with companies to assist their entry into the market, provides business networks, engages the support of government organisations and leads market visits and trade missions to the region.
Since its inception ABC has heightened awareness of opportunities in Africa's growing energy sector, promoted the UK's expertise and capabilities and assisted its members in entering these sometimes high-risk but profitable markets. It acts as the clearing house for a stream of company referrals from other agencies both in the private and public sectors and has a reach and network extending far beyond its member base.
Formerly known as the UK West Africa Action Group and established 15 years ago, ABC is an industry-led organisation run under the auspices of Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce.
