Prodrill celebrates Offshore Europe week by generously donating to Cash for Kids

Prodrill joined hundreds of energy industry personnel during what was a very busy Offshore Europe week to celebrate and donate a generous £1000 to an extremely deserved cause - Aberdeen Cash for Kids.

Wednesday, September 7^th, 2011 saw Aurum Nightclub and oilandgaspeople.com play host to ‘swing when you’re winning’, a charity event and auction in aid of the charity. Throughout the night, Prodrill staff enjoyed canapés, champagne and the sounds of legendary crooner, Cole Page.

Louise Wood, Managing Director of Prodrill comments, “Besides having a really enjoyable night, we were delighted to have been able to donate to such a deserved cause in our local area. Cash for Kids works with local health visitors, social workers, church groups, womens refuge, schools, groups, organisations and other charities to make sure that the children who really need help and support get it. We know that it will remain in our local area, and most importantly, work towards greatly improving the lives of children throughout Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

On receipt of Prodrill’s generous donation, Michelle Herd, Charity Manager for Cash for Kids commented, “Thank you so much for the fabulous donation of £1000 you made to the fundraising at Aurum ‘swing when you’re winning’. We are about to hold our distribution meeting and as usual have been inundated with requests for help for children in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. The money raised for us at the event will be going to help the charity fulfil these requests, so every penny will make a difference to underprivileged, sick and disabled children living in our communities.”

Cash for Kids is the umbrella brand for Bauer Radio’s network of independently registered, local charities which operate across 20 local areas within the UK.
