Prodrill supports British troops and donates £300 towards the Cateran Yomp
Prodrill Energy Resource Solutions is showing its support to British troops this weekend, having donated £300 to ‘The Cairn Climbers’ – a group of nine climbers from Cairn Energy PLC who are taking part in the Cateran Yomp this weekend (June 25, 2011) in aid of ABF, the Soldiers’ Charity (formerly The Army Benevolent Fund).
The new challenge’s gold event will see the team attempt to walk 54 miles around Perthshire in just 24 hours, as live bands, fireworks and a magical lit forest trail keeps them entertained along the way. All ‘yompers’ taking part are raising money for a terrific cause.
Louise Wood, Managing Director of Prodrill tells us more about the charity, “ABF, The Soldiers’ Charity gives lifetime support to serving and retired soldiers and their families, and have done for 66 years. The charity offers immediate help, but also helps families look to the future, assisting them to find the best medical, technical and financial support.
“Our troops put everything on the line to defend us and our country, and we felt it important to do all we can to contribute something small back. Best of luck to the team on their adventure this weekend and we praise their efforts towards a very worthy cause.”
