Subsea and Marine HSE Advisor

Description: Role Overview Provide HSES guidance and support to the Subsea Team, Marine Technical Authority and Subsea Operations / IRM team to assist achievement of the company safety goals. Provide a HSES interface between Operations Subsea and Marine Teams and the Contractor in the implementation of Safety Managment System and the achievement of the company safety goals. To work with key Contractor management teams to influence and support their successful delivery of safety performance. Key Accountabilities Acts as focal point for all matters relating to HSE for Project subsea delivery team, including Marine and IRM and Subsea Operations workscopes. Maintain accurate knowledge of subsea execution workscopes and work closely with the delivery teams to influence their effective control of safety performance. Develop influential relationships with key Contractor management and HSES representatives to promote alignment with HSES performance expectations and support safe performance delivery. Work with key Contractor HSES personnel to develop and approve effective plans for their delivery of HSES performance. Work with Emergency Response Lead in aligning and implementing standardised Emergency Response and Briding / Interface processes. Work supportively with Technical Safety Lead and Environmental Lead, to assist with integration of technical and environmental safety inputs to Projects Development subsea execution. Provide input and support to the Permits, Licenses, Authorisations, Notifications and Consents (PLANC) Register and processes. Agree an HSES audit plan for Subsea, Subsea Operations and Marine TA and complete audits as required. Monitor effective close out of findings. Ensure incident reporting procedures are clearly understood and monitor their application. Monitor and support the effective investigation of all incidents, ensuring causes are accurately identified and lessons learned/corrective actions are shared and implemented. Ensure the incident database (Synergi) is maintained accurately for all Subsea and Marine Incidents. Attend and participate in subsea related risk management activities (HIRA/HAZID/Design Reviews/etc). Review and comment on all Subsea, Marine and applicable Project HSE documentation. Maintain a strong focus on safety performance assurance for Project Subsea and Subsea Operations delivery worksites, both onshore fabrication and for offshore construction vessels. Work supportively with the Marine TA in providing HSE input to vessel assurance processes. Carry out HSE Assurance or HSE Inspections at Vessel mobilisations / demobilisations, port calls and crew changes as required. Work with contractor management and HSE representatives to ensure appropriate emergency response documentation and arrangements are in place. Work supportively with the UKBU HSES Manager as required to assist with the overall development of HSE processes and procedures across company. Coordination of the Subsea and Marine Safety focused Leadership visit programs Compilation of the monthly HSE Statistics and reporting requirements. Reporting to: Project Manager Marine Technical Authority Subsea Operations Managee Qualifications Minimum NEBOSH Certificate Candidate Profile Skills / experience: Minimum 10 years in a similar role, communications, project management, strong knowledge of onshore subsea fabrication and offshore subsea construction Knowledge (e.g. systems, software, procedures, regulations): Strong pragmatic knowledge of UK HSE legislation, experience with the use of Synergi, proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Powerpoint), Accident / Investigation trained, Competence in Root Causes Analysis, beahioural based safety trained.
