Our oil & gas operator Client are currently seeking a Senior Well Abandonment Engineer to work with them on a Temporary Agency Worker contract in the UK. The role and responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to the following:-

Work as part of the onshore platform well abandonment team to prepare well abandonment basis of design, create well programmes, prepare examination and notification/consents, prepare time and cost estimates etc.
Support Superintendent and rig teams with technical and planning work, including operations, contingencies, problem solving to allow rig operations to be safely, efficiently and cost effectively executed.
Plan and execute well operations safely, efficiently and cost effectively in accordance with company objectives, policies and procedures.
Ensures well design and operations comply with legislation and good oilfield practice.
Designs P&A activities and creates well programmes in compliance with the Management System by analysing offset data, generating and evaluating design options, assessing risk, preparing detailed design and programme documents.
Creates reports for the company and legislative bodies by compiling operations information and performance analysis to provide an as-installed record of events and well components.

The successful incumbent will have extensive experience as a Senior Well Abandonment Engineer supporting platform drilling, completion, intervention and abandonment operations.
Applicants will have a high level of technical expertise in relation to drilling/completions engineering and operations, well services and well abandonment with proven ability to deal with complex scenarios, challenging environments and develop creative solutions.
Experience of working in an operator environment on mature assets would be advantageous.
Candidates must have valid IWCF Level 4 certificate for subsea activities to Supervisor level.
This role may include offshore travel therefore all industry competency certification (BOSIET with CA-EBS, Medical and MIST) are required for this role.
