Document Controller

Description Work Scope Objective To provide Document Control and Document Management services to the UKBU both for onshore and offshore Provide Document Control assistance Ensure efficient documentation turnaround for Project Provide Training and advice to project personnel and vendors. Issue and control all documentation for the Project Operate as part of the greater document control pool – providing cover, training and assistance where necessary General administration and Information Management duties when required Recruitment Comments Ability to adopt practices to requirements, while always ensuring the document control principles are protected Ideally educated to A Level / Higher standard with preferably engineering, IT or computing background. Skills / experience: Previous Document control experience in a Project and Operational context Understating the HSEQ context of offshore operations Understanding of technical data and documentation, and the context in which it is used. Knowledge (e.g. systems, software, procedures, regulations): SharePoint (or EDMS) experience Excellent end user computer skills – Specifically Adobe, MS Excel and Word Competent in Document Control systems and processes Attributes and behaviours: Communicates effectively with colleagues and contacts Deals with internal and external contacts in a professional manner. Works effectively within a team or other work group as appropriate. Gathers information to understand problems and issues, making recommendations and/or taking action as appropriate. Manages own workload effectively. Understands the need for change, demonstrates flexibility and is willing to try new approaches
