Our Client, a leading Global Energy Company, have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Geoscientist for a long-term Temporary Agency Worker contract in the UK. The role and its responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to the following:-
The successful candidate will have previous and relevant experience working as a Geoscientist for an Exploration & Production Oil & Gas Operator Company.
The role will develop and evaluate prospects through interpretation of geological & geophysical data whilst identifying and promoting areas for activities.
To keep abreast of developments in geological & geophysical acquisition, processing and interpretation techniques, in geoscience and regional geological knowledge, monitoring technical literature and participating in seminars.
To ensure Partners' geological & geophysical work programmes in non-operated acreage are technically sound and are completed to the required standards and within budget constraints.
The successful candidate will be a competent evaluator of geological and geophysical data as well as being proficient/highly skilled in use of G&G technical Workstation/PC applications.
Knowledge of seismic interpretation and geophysical techniques, prospect generation, structural geology, salt tectonics, sequence stratigraphy, sedimentology, with expertise or specialist knowledge in some areas.
The role will include presenting technical work to the Client's Management and Partners.
Prepare reports and data packages and participate in the assurance reviews defined by the Client's Exploration MSG process (technical and economic validation).
The preparation of reports, presentations and data packages for partners, authorities and government agencies.
Propose exchange of well and seismic data with other oil companies and, after approval, carry them out.
Degree Qualified candidates with Master's Degree in Petroleum Geoscience are invited to apply.
