Senior Plug & Abandonment Engineer

Our prestigious Client, an Oil & Gas Exploration and Production Company operating in the North Sea have a fantastic new opportunity for an experienced Senior Plug & Abandonment Engineer to work with them on a permanent/staff role in the UKCS. The role and its responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:-

Candidates must have a robust and proven track record working in the Oil & Gas Energy sector directly at Operator level.
The successful incumbent will have previous experience of working in the UKCS.
Design, plan and assist the execution of well abandonment operations, in accordance with company standards and industry best practice.
Management support for various subsea projects to ensure that the current status of the well is fully understood and provide advice for abandonment options.
Assess the existing abandonment conditions and designs, and identify new technologies to optimise the plug and abandonment process.
Ensure that risk assessments have been carried out for all abandonment operations.
Provide advice and pursue various well abandonment techniques to reduce costs and optimise well operations, whilst ensuring this is consistent with industry best practice.

Candidates will have previous experience of managing financial budgets.
This is a predominantly onshore position however, offshore visits will be required to meet the needs of the business, therefore all industry competency certification BOSIET with CA-EBS, MEDICAL, MIST and IWCF Level 4 must be valid.
