Senior Plug & Abandonment Engineer

Our Client, a renowned Oil & Gas Exploration and Production Company have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Plug & Abandonment Engineer to work with them on a Temporary Agency Worker contract in the UKCS. The role and its responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:-

Candidates must have a robust and proven track record working in the Oil & Gas Energy sector directly at Operator level.
The successful incumbent will have extensive recent experience of working in the UKCS.
Review well abandonment programmes and provide technical input to the Decommissioning Project Team.
Design, plan and manage the execution of well abandonment operations, in accordance with company standards and industry best practice.
Provide advice and pursue various well abandonment techniques to reduce costs and optimise well operations, whilst ensuring this is consistent with industry best practice.
Assess plug & abandonment designs and ensure that they are cost efficient and fit for purpose.
Liaise closely with the Wells Department to ensure that reviews and risk assessments have been carried out for well operations.

Applications are invited from degree-qualified candidates with a relevant engineering degree or equivalent.
The successful incumbent will have a robust and proven track record working in abandonment, workover and well engineering.
Candidates will have previous experience of managing wells projects.
This is a predominantly onshore position however, offshore visits will be required to meet the needs of the business, therefore all industry competency certification BOSIET with CA-EBS, MEDICAL, MIST and IWCF Level 4 must be valid.
