We are currently seeking an experienced Rig Manager to work on an international contract position in Africa. The role will involve a mix of remote and in-country operation working.

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate Management of safe rig operations.
Applicants with experience working on land drilling rigs in remote locations preferred.
A proven track record of working on international projects.
Monitoring safety and performance indicators in line with management system and client expectations.
Effective management of crews both locally and expatriate.
Promoting safety tools and performance improvement plans through client interaction and crew engagement.
Working closely with the management team on developing frameworks and procedures
Monitoring of equipment, the condition and down time ensuring minimum exposure to wells plans.
Working closely with well management teams compiling operational improvement plans,
Close working relationship the Client's executive and management team
Diplomatic ability to communicate with local personnel and ensure full understanding of requirement.

This position is an immediate start for a period of approx. 6 months.
This is an onshore position therefore, all industry competency certification including Medical and insurances must be valid.
Must have a strong command of the English Language both written and verbal.
